Full Time Nanny/FA Position for One Child in Brooklyn, NY! UPDATE: THIS POSITION IS CLOSED.

A lovely family of 3 in Brooklyn is searching for a new full-time, long-term nanny/family assistant for their 3.5-year-old boy to begin in April!

Mom and Dad are both actors so someone familiar with that industry would be a huge plus. Discretion is imperative (NDA required.)

The family says: “We are looking for a nanny with a sense of humor; someone outgoing, smart, organized, tidy, proactive, reliable and an excellent communicator. Someone who will speak to our child like a person (not “baby talk”) and foster his own humor and creativity.  We don’t need our nanny to be invisible; we want to have a relationship with them.”

The details for this position are below.

·      Start Date: April (Interviewing asap)

·      Location: Brooklyn, NY (11217)

·      Child: One healthy, fun and verbal 3.5-year-old boy

·      Pets: One friendly dog (must love dogs!)

·      Schedule: M-F 9am-6pm guaranteed (Will likely extend to 8am-6pm when he starts school in the fall!)

·      Pay: $40 on payroll. *With additional overtime, travel pay and health care, projected annual compensation is $120K-$130K+.

·      Requirements:

o   5+ years of professional experience (starting at the age of 18)

o   Covid vaccinated with at least the initial round and one booster

o   Annual flu shot (not a dealbreaker but preferred)

o   Clean driving record with valid driver’s license (car not needed)

o   Fluent English speaking

o   Authorized to work legally in the US

o   Current in-person CPR/FA certification

o   Clean criminal record and willing to submit to thorough background check. 

o   Willing to sign NDA (and experience working with HP families)

o   Valid Passport and flexibility/willingness (ideally even eagerness!) to travel with the family, sometimes with little notice (and experience traveling with families internationally)

·      Duties:

o   Full focus on the child until he begins preschool including his care, engagement/activity planning, meal prep., organization of his belongings, tidying after him, his laundry and keeping his items in stock.

o   Once he begins school (or if the family travels without the nanny), family assistant duties including general space tidying (no deep cleaning, the family has a housekeeper), grocery shopping, family errands, family organizational projects, coordinating household repairs, helping with keeping household items in stock, emptying the garbage bin if you notice it is full and helping with the family dog (they have a dog walker but feeding, playing, etc. when time allows.)
