Full Time Family Assistant Position in Silverlake! UPDATE: POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED!

A lovely family of four in Silverlake is looking to hire a warm, fun, and proactive full time family assistant to begin right away! They describe their home as low key, but they would love someone who can instill super warm but firm boundaries with the kids. Ideally, this would be a long-term situation!

The position details are below!

Location: Silverlake

Parents: Both parents will be working full time

Children: Two healthy and smart boys, ages 3.5 years and 5.5 years, both in school full time.

Pets: One Dog (One 8-year-old Bernedoodle; she is sweet but a larger dog, so comfort around dogs is a must.)

Schedule: M-TH 10am-5:30pm, F 7:30am-5:30pm. (40 hours per week guaranteed.) Plenty of date night/overnight opportunities and can even add to the regular schedule if desired!

Benefits: Standard paid time off

Pay: $35 per hour (firm)

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience starting at the age of 18

• Legal authorization to work in the US

• Clean criminal background (Trustline registered or willing and able, ability to pass thorough background check)

• Current (in-person) CPR/FA certification (or willing to obtain)

• Clean driving record with a safe, reliable vehicle to use for transporting the children (mileage reimbursement provided)

• English fluency

• Spanish would be a plus but not a requirement

• College educated would be a huge plus but not a requirement

Personality/Vibe: As mentioned earlier, the family is looking for a nanny who is warm but who can instill some kind and loving. The boys are good friends and like to be busy (parks, library, museums, friends’ houses, swimming, etc). They are looking for a leader/teacher type, someone who can show the boys the path toward being kind and curious people of the world. Also looking for someone who can help be a proactive manager for things around the house and related to the kids while they are at school. They are family oriented, grandparents, aunts/uncles/cousins are nearby and helpful!

Duties:

• Family assistant duties while boys are in school, including light tidying of the kitchen, laundry, organizing of child areas including their bedroom, their playroom, toys), a dog walk when there is time, house organizational tasks, random errands, and grocery shopping.

• Nanny duties including picking the boys up from school, taking them to activities, helping them with homework, engaging with them and some help with basic meals for the kids.

Travel: None needed but would love someone to stay overnight over the weekend on occasion!
