Full Time Toddler Nanny Position in Pasadena!

A kind and appreciative family of 3 in Pasadena is searching for a new nanny for their toddler in to begin mid-late October! Please read the entire posting below and follow the submission instructions to apply if you meet all the listed requirements. Thank you!

Start Date: Mid-late October (a bit flexible)

Location: Pasadena

Parents: Mom (works from home and would love an environment where she can feel free to pop in and say hi from time to time) and Dad (works from home and travels monthly for business.) Both parents would like to take the child to classes/activities when they are able. 

Child: One 17-month-old (as of October 1) sweet, active, and curious little boy  

Pets: One small, friendly dog (no duties requires but dog lovers encouraged!)

Guaranteed Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm

Longevity: Long term

Pay: $35+ per hour (depending on experience)

Benefits: Standard paid time off and modest healthcare stipend

Requirements

·       10+years of professional experience working with young children (since the age of 18) with children (including ample toddler experience)

·       Someone with a strong knowledge of child development who can guide first time parents respectfully while also receiving feedback receptively

·       Fluent English-speaking a must

·       Spanish or French as a second language a plus

·       Current in-person cpr/fa

·       Clean criminal background and Trustline registered or willing to be

·       Clean driving record with a safe and clean vehicle to transport child to local activities (mileage reimbursement provided) 

·       Legal authorization to work in the US

Personality/Vibe: The family is looking for someone loving, warm, interactive and engaging who will foster the child’s curiosity through reading, storytelling, active play, puppet shows, cooking, hide and seek, etc. A proactive, creative person who will come up with activities that will engage the toddler, helping him to reach his milestones. An observant person who will notice things and a solid communicator who will bring those things to the parents’ attention would be a great fit. The family is looking for a person who will seek out socializing opportunities for the child and help prepare him for preschool; a proactive forward thinker who will help notify parents when they believe the child is ready for certain things and offer suggestions on them (think switching from sippy cups, potty training, etc.). 

Duties: Everything related to the child (cooking healthy meals, handling his laundry, keeping his areas tidy and toys clean, and providing his full care during the workday so parents can focus.) These parents are truly looking for a partner who will work with them to enrich their toddler’s life. They would also appreciate a naturally tidy person, who would be ok with keeping common areas presentable (along with them).

Travel: The family travels to Scotland for 5 weeks every summer and would love someone who can join them for part of the trip, as well as for other shorter trips throughout the year to various destinations.
