Part Time Family Assistant Position in Newport Beach! UPDATE: JOB OFFER ACCEPTED! WORK AGREEMENT DRAFTING IN PROGRESS.

Sweet first-time parents of one 6-month-old baby boy are looking for part time family assistant at their home in Newport Beach beginning right away! Dad works full time, and mom is a SAHM who would love support with family assistant chores so she can spend more time focusing on her baby and someone she can trust to care for him if she has appointments, etc.!

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Newport Beach

Child: One 6-month-old baby boy

Pets: None

Guaranteed Schedule: The family is looking for 3 weekdays and is flexible on which days and how many hours! (8am-12pm/2pm/4pm, it is up to you!)

Longevity: Long term would be the goal and more hours could become available in the future, should this be of interest and work for both parties

Benefits: Standard paid time off

Pay: $35+ per hour, depending on the candidate

Requirements:

·      5+ years of professional experience working with babies and children starting at the age of 18 (ideally, someone who has raised own adult children would be a wonderful plus)

·      Physically capable of keeping up with the child as they grow into an active toddler and willing to be outside and active with them

·      Fluent English speaker (Spanish speaking is a plus but not required)

·      Experience supporting households with family assistant type duties

·      Clean criminal history (able to pass thorough background check and register with Trustline)

·      Clean driving record with a safe, reliable vehicle for mileage reimbursement

·      Current in-person cpr/fa certification

·      Legal authorization to work in the US

Personality/Vibe: Mom is an introvert but would like very much to develop a relationship with this person where trust is built, so someone a bit more extroverted than her with good communication skills, but also on the calm side would be a good fit for this family. Someone who is very team minded, willing to help mom with the day-to-day household functioning. This family is looking for a quick learner who is observant and meticulous. Proactive. Warm, nurturing, kind, trustworthy, responsible, reliable, and professional. Someone who will be comfortable being around and working alongside other family members at times (parents, grandparents, etc.)

Duties:

·       Family assistant duties including

o   Light basic meal prep

o   Help with family laundry

o   Errand running

o   Organizational tasks

o   Light housekeeping (tidying, loading the dishwasher, bottles)

o   Bringing in deliveries

o   Breaking down boxes

o   Taking out trash

o   Helping to supervise/oversee vendors/cleaners

o   Caring for the baby when mom needs to go out or needs a break

Travel: The ability to travel domestically once or twice a year would be a plus not a dealbreaker.
