Two working (from home) parents are looking for an incredible nanny for their (almost) 3-year-old girl and (almost) 1-year-old boy! The position will begin at the end of March and the family is located in Valley Village (they may move to San Marino/South Pasadena in the summer, and would like their nanny to be fine with those locations as well.)
The schedule is Thursday, Friday and Saturday (can substitute Saturday for Wednesday for the right person if that is preferable!) from 8:30am-8:30pm (guaranteed) with some opportunities for more hours with additional days and date nights! The duties will be limited to child related tidying/meal preparation and help with dishes. The pay being offered is $35-$40 per hour with standard paid time off included.
Their nanny must be comfortable engaging the children in fun activities at home (and in the backyard) for the day, as excursions won't be possible for the time being. The family would like someone who will educate their children, keeping them on track to reach developmental milestones and teaching them social skills and manners. They would also like someone who will respect their wishes as parents, while also offering their own expertise based on their years of experience. They are looking to establish a collaborative environment.
Must have at least 15 years of professional childcare experience, including time working as a nanny. Impeccable, verifiable references are needed, and childcare certifications would be a plus, though not a necessity. Fluent English speaking is a requirement. Must have CPR/First Aid training up to date and a clean criminal and driving background. Please be comfortable with security cameras in and around the home. These parents are admittedly nervous about hiring a nanny, as this is the very first time that they will be leaving their children in the care of someone outside of family. Please only apply if you believe yourself to be a patient person who will allow them to take this slowly and at their own pace. They wish to establish a trusting, long lasting relationship with their new nanny but it will take some time.
If you believe you are the right person for this family, please send your childcare resume to naysnannies@gmail.com with the subject "Valley Village Nanny!"
