Nanny for One 6-Year-Old Girl in Encino!

A really kind and welcoming family of four in Encino is looking for a new nanny for their 6-year-old little girl! The position starts right away.

Start Date: Asap

Location: Encino (near Skirball)

Parents: Both parents work in entertainment and are very involved but not micromanagers.

Children: 6-year-old girl (she loves musical theater!) and 4-month-old girl. Most of the job is with the older child, as the baby has her own nanny.

Pets: Dog (14, sweet boy, some occasional help with letting him out may be requested…must love dogs!)

Guaranteed Schedule: M-F 1pm-7pm (30 hours guaranteed)

Longevity: Potential for long term

Pay: $30+ per hour DOE with standard paid time off

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience starting at the age of 18

• Legal authorization to work in the US

• Current cpr/first aid certification (in-person)

• Fluent English speaker (bilingual in Spanish and English to communicate with baby nanny would be ideal but not a dealbreaker)

• Current tdap

• College educated would be a plus (ability to help with homework)

• Quick learner who can mirror speech therapist work for the child’s minor speech impediment

• Clean criminal background (Trustline registered or able and willing)

• Clear driving record

• Safe reliable vehicle to use (mileage reimbursement provided)

Personality/Vibe: The family is looking for someone loving, warm, fun, creative, nurturing, and extroverted when appropriate. Someone skilled in the art of redirection, who can keep their child occupied and busy, so she isn’t melting down while dad is working from home, etc.

Duties: Help with errands before school pick up, then homework help, taking to activities, engaging with her, etc. and some back-up help to other nanny occasionally. The main nanny will do laundry but some light family meal prep would be great. Light tidying related to the children, cleaning up after child activities.

Travel: Passport ready would be a plus
