Full Time Nanny Position for Two in Santa Monica! UPDATE: THIS POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED!

A warm and welcoming family of 4 in Santa Monica is searching for a new full-time long-term nanny to join their family, to begin June 2!

Both parents work full time, from home a significant amount of the time and Grandmom also visits regularly so they do need a nanny comfortable with this, though they are not micromanagers!

The children are two healthy boys, ages 2 years old in June (and beginning part time preschool) and 9 months old, in June.

The family says: "We are loving people and hoping to have this person be an extended member of our family. We're looking to create a mutually respectful, fun, meaningful relationship. We are looking for a nanny who is positive, light hearted and easy to be around. A professional who genuinely loves children and has experience with multiple young kids, close in age! Someone with a “can do” attitude (think Trader Joe’s employees who seem to love their jobs!), who really wants to be here. A person aiming to figure out how to partner with and coparent with us, who will anticipate/identify challenges and come up with solutions. Someone with a sense of humor who doesn’t take themselves so seriously. Kids are crazy and having someone that can laugh stuff off would be ideal! Someone with high emotional intelligence who can read a room.”

Children: 2-year-old boy and 9-month-old boy

Pets: None

Schedule: M-F 8am-6pm (Guaranteed, with some date nights)

Compensation: $35 per hour

Benefits: Standard paid time off

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional childcare experience starting at the age of 18 including time with multiple young children

• Authorized to work in the US

• Firm knowledge of childhood development and willingness to facilitate age- appropriate activities to assist the children in meeting their milestones.

• Covid vaccinated with at least one booster

• Annual flu shot

• Clear criminal background and registered or willing to register with Trustline and to undergo a thorough background check

• Clean driving record and comfortable with potentially driving the kids in the future (walkable school for now) with reliable transportation to get to and from work

• Fluent English speaking

• Spanish speaking a plus

Duties: Child related housework only 

Travel: A small amount of domestic travel may come up eventually
