A lovely and kind queer couple in the Larchmont area of Los Angeles is looking for a full-time, long-term nanny to join their family in April! Please read the job details in full below and follow the instructions to apply!
Start Date: April 6
Location: Larchmont area (Huge nanny community, be prepared to make some nanny friends)
Parents: Two moms, both working in entertainment
Children: One 13-month-old boy and a newborn due at the end of April!
Pets: No pets
Guaranteed Schedule: M-F 9am-6pm (please be willing to stay late on occasion)
Longevity: Long term (ideally very long term)
Pay: $40 per hour
Benefits: Standard paid time off
Requirements:
· 5+ years professional childcare experience (with impeccable, verifiable references) starting at age 18
· Experience with multiple young children
· Newborn care experience
· Fluent English speaker (second language is a plus but not a dealbreaker)
· Clean criminal background (willing to undergo a thorough background check and Trustline registered or eligible)
· Current cpr/fa certification from an in-person course
· Knowledge of child development and willing to actively help them meet their milestones
· Clean driving record with a safe, reliable vehicle for future driving (a plus)
· Current tdap
· Annual covid vaccine
· Annual flu vaccine
· Measles vaccinated
· Authorized to work in the US
Personality/Vibe: Parents are very chill and personable, good vibes. They want their nanny to feel good in their home. They are very open communicators and are looking for a nanny who is bubbly and engaging, fun, singing and playing with the kids but not necessarily overly talkative with parents all the time. Super gentle, no yelling, positive, uplifting with boundaries. A sense of humor is important, with no harsh politics; they lead with love are looking for someone who is comfortable with that. Please be inclusive minded, use inclusive language and feel comfortable in that community. Also, they want someone who won’t be afraid to take the children fun places eventually!
Duties: Baby related duties (child meals, bottles, kitchen clean-up after, child laundry (and maybe some help with parent laundry.) If the family goes away without the nanny, they will ask for small house related things (think bringing in the mail, watering the plants. They are reasonable people.)
Travel: Potential travel so passport ready.
