Really kind first time parents in Palos Verdes are looking for a full-time nanny for their baby girl, beginning in mid-January! The details for this position are below!
Start Date: January 19
Location: Palos Verdes
Parents: Dad (works from home in management consulting) and mom (Mom works in the ER with fluctuating hours and is home sometimes)
Children: One 2-month-old baby girl
Pets: One Dog (friendly golden retriever...dog lover required as he was the first baby of the house!)
Schedule: M-F 8/9am-4/5pm (Guaranteed 52 weeks a year; since mom works in the medical field, some flexibility 2-3 times a month to work a later 8-hour shift would be appreciated when able, with advance notice, and will also be reciprocated with occasional flexibility granted to the nanny if they also wish to move hours a bit for any reason.)
Longevity: Long term
Pay: $35-$40 on payroll
Benefits: Standard paid time off and a potential healthcare stipend
Requirements:
· 10+ years professional experience (starting at age 18)
· Covid vaccinated with regular boosters (at least a couple of boosters)
· Current CPR/FA certification (in-person)
· Annual flu shot
· Current Tdap (within the last 3 years or willing to update)
· Interest child development (who will make sure baby is stimulated, reading, playing, on track developmentally, no screen time)
· Fluent English (second language is a plus but not required)
· Clean driving record (car will be provided once driving becomes needed)
· Legal authorization to work in the US
· Commitment to healthy, clean eating for the baby (comfortable preparing those meals)
· Comfort with potentially using cloth diapers (experience with it would be helpful though not a dealbreaker; parents want to be considerate of the environment)
Personality/Vibe: Chill parents. Mom is very communicative, a little more introverted (she is not looking to chat a ton but is very friendly and kind.) The family would like to find someone who will be energetic and active with the baby but not overly boisterous with the parents as they are more on the calm side. Enthusiastic about talking to and reading to the baby (for language and emotional development). Someone supportive of a working mom would be a great fit (they are looking to raise a strong little girl!), kind, not gossipy or judgmental, with really good vibes. These parents are scientifically oriented/logic driven and would like a nanny who shares that trait to partner with them in raising their daughter.
Duties: Child related (baby laundry, baby area tidying, meals, bottle prep, breast pump parts, etc.) Also, some light family assistant tasks, time permitting (baby always comes first!) including light meal prep (think chopping veggies, defrosting fish/meat), a quick dog walk on occasion if both parents are out of the house, light tidying up of common spaces.
If this sounds like your ideal new family, please send your resume to naysnannies@gmail.com with the subject PV Nanny!
Thank you.
