Two incredible working mamas (both from their home offices where they run their amazing nonprofit organization!) are looking for a fantastic long-term nanny to join their family beginning May 1st! They have one baby girl who was born in January and live in Mar Vista.
The schedule will be approximately 8/9am-4/5pm Monday-Friday and the hours (40) will be guaranteed. The pay is $38+ per hour on payroll with full medical/vision/dental coverage+FSA and generous paid time off!
Please note that all of the listed requirements in this post are not negotiable, so please do not apply unless you meet all of them. Must have many years of professional infant experience (15+ as a full time nanny, please) and verifiable references. They would like someone who has done it all but is still adaptable to how they want to raise their child. A clean driving record is needed (car provided for on the job driving) and full vaccinations will be required, including current and annual covid booster, annual flu shot and up to date tdap. Must have a clean criminal background (Trustline registration or willingness to apply) and current CPR/First Aid certification. Please be passport ready and able to travel (both domestically and internationally) a couple of times a year. Finally, please be legal to work in the US and comfortable receiving a W2.
The duties are primarily baby care. They have a housekeeper for deep cleaning, but do want their nanny to be willing to help out with light housework and food prep during naps. No deep or elaborate cleaning, just helping out throughout the day with a team player mentality.
Personality wise, they are looking for someone calm and clear, a really good communicator; someone not afraid to ask for what they need to do their job well. Their ideal nanny will be really kind and caring, very interested in child development and in what children need, with a desire to learn. They want to build a relationship with someone who knows how to handle emotions and can help a child regulate thoughtfully. They are very much about helping children figure out their emotions, and teaching them how to regulate themselves, with kind but clear boundaries and validation. They don’t want their child indulged but do want them to feel safe.
Finally they are still covid cautious and would like someone who is also more careful.
If you meet all of the listed requirements and believe yourself to be an excellent fit, please send your resume to naysnannies@gmail.com with the subject "Mar Vista Nanny"!
