A very sweet pair of first-time parents in Culver City are looking for a full-time nanny for their baby girl beginning May 28! She will be 5 months old at the start date.
Mom and Dad will both be working from home (at least part of the time) so they need a nanny who is comfortable with that. The schedule will be guaranteed, M-F 8:30am-4:30pm and the pay being offered is $32 per hour with standard paid time off. They would like a minimum of a one-year commitment.
The requirements for this position are as follows: 5+ years of professional experience working with children (starting at the age of 18) including significant time infants (and glowing, verifiable references), Fluent English speaking (second language a plus), reliable transportation to get to/from work (very walkable neighborhood), current CPR/FA in-person, current tdap, covid vaccine w/one booster, annual flu shot. Must have a clean criminal record and be legally authorized to work in the US. A willingness to travel for short term, domestic trips occasionally would be great. They would like someone who will be very active with the baby, willing/able to be on the floor with her, engaging with her, and someone who will spend a lot of time on walks and outdoors with her. They would like a nanny who will not be on their phone with the baby and someone who understands the importance of not using screens with an infant.
The family is looking for someone kind, open-minded and friendly. They want this person to feel comfortable and welcome in their home. They are on the quieter, more laid-back side so a nanny with a similar disposition would be a good fit. As first-time parents, they would love a nanny who can provide helpful guidance based on experience, but also someone willing to follow routines and rules set by them as the parents.
The duties for this position are baby related only (engaging with her, coming up with age-appropriate activities for her, making sure her needs are met, tidying up after her and baby meal prep and baby laundry, when time allows.)
