Family Assistant Position in Mar Vista! UPDATE: THIS POSITION IS IN THE TRIALING STAGE!

A really warm and inviting family in Mar Vista has returned to Nay’s Nannies after 3 wonderful years with the nanny we matched them with! The position is transitioning into more of a Family Assistant role which will begin at the end of July and hopefully will last years to come!

The job details are below.

·      Start Date: July 28

·      Location: Mar Vista

·      Parents: Two full time working parents (sometimes from home)

·      Children: One boy aged 5, one girl, aged 4

·      Pets: 2 dogs

·      Guaranteed Schedule: M-TH 1:30pm-8pm and F 1:30pm-5:30pm (30 hours.) Would love someone who is willing to come earlier for extra hours when school is closed but not a dealbreaker. Also, willingness to make occasional day/overnight trips to Carpinteria would be a plus!

·      Longevity: Long term

·      Pay: $35 per hour

·      Benefits: Standard paid time off and a modest healthcare stipend

·      Requirements:

o    5+ years of professional childcare experience including with multiple young children

o   Current in-person cpr/fa certification

o   Clear criminal record

o   Legal authorization to work in the US

o   Fluent English speaker (Spanish a plus)

o   Competent swimmer

o   Covid vaccinated (initial round)

o   Annual flu shot a plus

o   Clean driving record

o   Safe, reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided)

o   Great organizational skills

o   Passport ready and up for occasional travel is a big plus

·      Duties:

o   Engage and interact with the children, taking them on fun adventures/outings, facilitating age-appropriate activities at home, etc. (No screens, please.)

o   Light family assistant duties while they are in school (family laundry, occasional errands, organizational tasks, keeping common spaces tidy/organized, etc.)
