Family Assistant/Nanny for Two Boys in Studio City! UPDATE: THIS POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED!

A very kind and busy family in Studio City is searching for a part time (30 hours per week) family assistant to begin right away! Please read the job details in full below.

Location: Studio City, CA

Parents: Dad (works in accounting, out of a nearby office) Mom works as an attorney, from home)

Children: 7-year-old boy and 9-year-old boy. Both kids have been diagnosed with ADHD and it is well managed. The younger child also has dyslexia. They are both lovely, empathetic humans, with a lot of energy!

Pets: Two dogs (chocolate lab and a mini golden doodle.) A dog lover who is willing to get them out and active a bit more when time permits would be great!

Guaranteed Schedule: M-F 1pm-7pm (if you happen to live locally and want to help with school drop-offs, they’d gladly take you up on that for more hours!)

Longevity: Long term would be ideal

Pay: $40 per hour on payroll as a W2 employee

Benefits: Standard PTO

Requirements:

• 5+ professional experience starting at the age of 18

• Legal authorization to work in the US

• Current in-person CPR/FA certification (or willing to update)

• Clean criminal background (willing to undergo a thorough background check and go through the Trustline registration process if not already listed)

• Clean driving record (a safe, reliable vehicle to drive the children is a huge plus, mileage reimbursement provided)

• Special needs experience would be a plus but is not required (the boys are very active/physical and need someone who can handle that, as well as emotional, sometimes frustrated, squabbling kids!

• Covid vaccinated with at least one booster

• Annual flu shot

• College degree is not important but someone who can help with homework would be needed.

• English fluency

Personality/Vibe: The family describes themselves as calm and jokey! The ideal family assistant for their family will be a super proactive self-starter who is eager to help two busy parents with family assistant duties when the kids are in after school activities. This person will also be super engaging with the boys when they are home, getting them off their devices and involved in games and taking them outdoors and to the park, interactive with the boys and not on their phone. Someone warm, fun, outgoing, and patient.

Duties: Light tidying, organizational projects, errands, dry cleaning drop off and pick-ups, grocery shopping, light meal prep, laundry for the boys, keeping their spaces clean, helping with family calendar, keeping stock of things in the house, meal planning, taking the kids out and about to the park, etc. Overseeing the boys in their activities (piano practice for example!)
